ugh lol

you have no idea. we had a ton of stress just last month telling an activist group about our strong desire to not be using corporate platforms when working for radical change

(it worked out! so that was great! they are all lovely people, it's just we find it hard sometimes to remember that not everyone has gotten to point we're at of believing that these platforms are almost never worth it for anything that isn't itself corporate. so we stressed ourselves out a bit more than necessary thinking we weren't being heard, when it was more that we needed to do some education. oops)

but seriously so much of our time gets spent discussing information security, to be honest :/

I think a lot about something related that happens in Hank Green's book, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. What platforms we have does really shape what we do with the communities who communicate via them.
