every time I'm having to use the Linux cli, I feel like instead of attacking anything head on i have to Schräge Musik it.
nothing is intuitive, everything has different syntax based on what cute thing the dev thought of.
I've been trapped in this box for 20 years and nothing gets more humane, i just get faster.
that's not true topgrade is the most humane piece of software I've touched in a decade.
but that really says something. because it shouldn't need to exist
yeah this is why when i was at my most fucked up and had actually basically zero working memory i switched to GUI apps for a TON of things because the inefficiencies were worth it for something i could use at all. a lot of the command line just stopped being something i could use to do anything, except for on the rare day of mental energy where i needed to spend it at work.
zsh menu based tab completion + completions plugins + generate-man-completions.sh is the only way i manage
i had less luck with fish completions picking up all the flag descriptions, but yeah
