you just caused me to realize something about computer-geek culture and how it seems to resent having to explain how anything works: they've effectively merged playtime into "work", and so to them it's like wasting time explaining the rules; each player is supposed to figure it out for themselves because that's part of the fun. it's toys, not tools—getting too much help with using them is cheating, like "asking for someone to hold your hand". bleh. ~Chara
