the Google algorithmic news thing doesn't even use the data they have on me because i turned off the ad ID or whatever so i get random articles from random local newses along with the FUD of the day. it's really interesting as a sociological tool but also gives me gems like this

  1. A driver may not exchange or, through transfers, allow goods or money to change hands on roadways within the city.

  2. people cannot sell, and drivers cannot buy, things -- except where exchange of such items would happen off of the road.

  3. a road must protect it's own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law.

Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful city council.

This road is not a place of commerce... no highly profitable deed is permissible here... nothing transactional is here.

A fine is unleashed only if you substantially exploit this place commercially. This place is best driven through and left pedestrian-free.

idk; as much as I give stuff from mt & id the intractable state house madness stink eye, small town banning drive-thrus just seems like small town doing small town bylaw things
