this is the second of these I've poked at today, I've wasted six hours, this is such an indictment because it's like that every single time.

it's not docker itself that's the problem here, it's how people treat it, mostly

a portion of the config turned out to be 2 years out of date which i sort of suspected but at least tomorrow will be easier
