it lets you host all sorts of things without having to fiddle with docker and reverse-DNS, on the other hand, it's the worst mobile experience on a main page i've ever felt so I didn't even bother installing it

if you want to, say, host many things in docker containers, that expect port 443 or 80, you'll need something that can shunt those to their respective docker containers.

home cloud still needs to be accessible from outside the home if you're using it for syncing :)

but also nextcloud just refuses to be detached from the outside world
