it's emblematic of how worthless a binary sfw/nsfw marker is that just in the past 5 minutes i've seen it hiding
and of course neither of these things has any other tags at all. i am not a moralistic purity crusader, i simply want to choose when i do or do not see huge cocks.
I'm not clear on what is or is not visible before clicking through, and to what extent a CW should be a very very short thing suitable for a key word filter people might use vs. a useful description for a person to read that will then annoy the automatic filter people.
(But at least cohost doesn't seem to have the mastodon thing where graphs, photos of cats, landscape photos, close-up photographs of human vulvas, all just "sensitive content.")
This is why I prefer the additional cw tags tbh, those are also suitable for jokes as well as legit Content Warnings and more useful than the 18+ tickbox without forcing your posts to be tagged (in the discoverability sense)
just chiming in to say that i really wish people would tag stuff and not use the 18+ marker for jokes!!! it's impossible to tell what's actually gonna be in there ESPECIALLY if it's shared from a page i don't follow or know anything about...
