I recently saw a gastroenterologist who told me, "You don't need to worry about taking medication together with metamucil, unless the label says not to take the meds with food. It's just ground-up oatmeal."
I... think I don't trust him.
well, metamucil itself is psyllium husks, for one thing. Other fibers are often wheat.
but it's ok, my gastro told me my slow gut was 'just constipation' even after I brought up prior slow gut issues, and she's not, technically, wrong.
