every quake fanmap is called some shit like "you will never get what you want" and has atmosphere thicker than tar that stays with you for the rest of your life while every doom fanmap is called some shit like "funkytown II: funkycity" and has a monster count approaching the upper bounds of what a 32-bit integer can represent

I showed this to a friend and he pointed out that it's kind of in reverse for project names, where Doom projects will be called things like "Deathwind Paradox" and Quake projects will be called things like "Xmas Speedmap Compilation #13".

Meanwhile, Marathon maps have entire prog rock lyric sheets for level names. We must learn more from their esoteric ways in our desperate struggle to force gamers into reading.
