coordinate with other mods to all delete your subs when they IPO, it'll probably destroy their Google results as half their links to dead just when r/funny dies, and hit their stock hard.
I'm sorry this falls on redditors, and even more sorry to the library of Alexandria housed there. but the reason you don't negotiate with hostage takers, is that it encourages more hostage taking.
the CEO doesn't see you as valuable. swallow the frog, let him think he's won, and then salt the earth. burn the IPO.
if you can, archive your subreddit, and see if people in your community can run a discourse instance or one of the many things that can replace Reddit, some even have the same interface. for your community, not for any others, because then you've got control but at least the community sticks together and is easy to find, unlike if it was a sub-part of some other service
