I hate this so much because it's eventually going to get people murdered.
Painfully clear that nobody cares to ask questions like "what could kiwifarms do with this?"

in reply to @atomicthumbs's post:

Dril, infamous shit poster, moved to blue sky, and a contingent of people got mad that he didn't follow people (i think someone went like 40k followers and he hasn't followed anyone??? He was paid to be here!") And another blasted him for not sharing mutual aid posts. The dude is pretty well known for never sincere posting.

It's bonkers.

I know who he is, and his reputation, but wasn't aware that people on bsky suddenly expected him to change his posting style and become just one of their new best buds. Maybe they're seeing this as a failure to comply with the modus operandi of bsky being to force everyone to be extremely claustrophobic with each other.

When I first joined, dozens of people just randomly followed me. None of them actually interacted with me directly, though. I mostly keep the stupid thing on background and glance at it once a day, at most. On a computer. I don't really keep the app installed on my devices, mainly because I spend more time on my tablet than on my phone, and it's a fricking phone-only app that ends up running in compatibility mode on my tablet screen. Though at least Apple made a concession to that and made it possible to run this sort of garbage in landscape mode without forcing you to rotate the thing into portrait mode. Took them long enough to do that much.
