i probably just shouldn't weigh in but.. publicly talking about the same thing someone else is talking about, and having a different opinion or conclusion from them, isn't bullying them? it just isn't? even if a lot of people happen to disagree at once, even if every single one of them is wrong, that's just.. an entirely separate thing from bullying? am i going insane?

on one hand im sure being discoursed around shares a lot of elements with bullying, but on the other hand yea its definitely not bullying
it feels like some people are trying really hard to assign blame in a situation where doing so is neither helpful nor, frankly, especially coherent
the post mocking the sig as a css joke wasn't simple a disagreement. and hopefully i can just leave it at that
As a good post somewhere else in the impenetrable tangle of posts on this topic said: the discovery tools on this website are borderline nonexistent, and it exacerbates the already-bad issue where everyone thinks the particular post they saw twice is The Way It Happened but actually everyone saw different posts and then inappropriately elevated a few examples to group-scale intentions and behaviors.
I saw someone seemingly unironically suggesting that a post was "discoverable" because it used the "cohost meta" tag, in response to someone else being like "things aren't discoverable unless you use "discourse" tag or whatever", which, is a pretty clear encapsulation of the issue, I think.
