Same, I have to be solving some ridiculous convoluted real-world problem otherwise I just open an IDE and go "uhhh well I could write a for loop i guess but it's gotta do something"
my big problem is that most of my real world problems I could solve with code are easier to solve with politics. though I guess this also applies to the software industry, hm.
