I accidentally clicked on YouTube Shorts
and I think this pretty much sums up the entirety of Shorts as a gestalt.

Well with these kinds of videos I always assumed they talk over the footage in post which is its own kind of weird.
I do see wholesome versions of this, like some guy who works at Best Buy sharing funny customer stories over footage of him perfectly applying screen protectors to new phones haha.
