I've yet to see more than clips of John Hurt's Doctor. I very much like the idea of his character, anyway...also I just like John Hurt ~Chara
It's a shame, he was only really in The Day of the Doctor. For such a dramatic reveal with such vast implications, it got dropped rather quickly and never picked up again. I think Big Finish did some stuff with him but Big Finish is just elevated fanfiction at the end of the day.
