COVID is a pretty good argument for a 4 day or less work week, because when people were put on furlough or job stuff slackened, open source science bloomed in a way that was crushed within a year.
partially because people from outside the field (or from other subfields than they normally collaborate) were able to rapidly add new perspective. because they had free time again.
