you mean like, picture-in-picture but for websites? [edit] and NOT iframes
yeah i kinda mean like how the c2wiki works or similar things, sub-windows in almost a mobile form factor so if you're just looking to preview something you aren't opening a tab or losing page context.
like scrollable hover previews
Bringing back MDI (multi document interface), I see.
I endorse this idea. I even find following footnotes harrowing because I'm not sure I'll be able to get back to the text referencing the footnote.
