My personal web site frankhecker.com is a static web site currently generated using Jekyll. I am going to keep it as a static site but want to switch it to using Hugo instead, mainly for increased speed of generation and more flexibility in the site content hierarchy; see fheckerdemo.com for my current prototype of this.
I would rather devote my spare time to writing instead of evaluating and customizing Hugo themes, so I am looking for someone I can pay to do that. My goal is to have a writing-focused site that is fast-loading, simple but elegant in appearance, typographically excellent, and readable and accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.
If you have experience in creating such sites (preferably using Hugo1) and are interested in a paid gig, please contact me at my personal email address (which you can find on my web site). I would prefer to do this on a firm fixed price basis, so please tightly scope the amount of work you think this would require, and quote a price accordingly.2 Please also include pointers to your own portfolio of sites you’ve designed.
I look forward to hearing from you!

I understand that HTML/CSS expertise is general, but I’d rather work with someone who’s already familiar with how Hugo does things, and is not learning it on the fly.

I am not looking for the cheapest price, but I’m limited in what I want to spend, given that this is a personal site, not part of a profit-making business.
