i have had a handy little ceramic exacto style knife for a decade, it is my go to for breaking down boxes. just have to wash it occasionally

I have a bigass machete with a serrated flat on the back but your thing sounds much more practical
my utility knife (that i actually use to cut up boxes these days instead of the machete despite being less fun, because i don't want my cop ass neighbors to get scared) just has like a stack of 8 big long snap-offs in it. very practical and you can also make the blade really long if you need
