I know it's an unpopular opinion but i do think generational divides do serve a purpose: it makes the bosses less likely to keep up with the slang of the most naive generation at any given time, making it easier for the leading edge to discuss things in the open to organize against the people wanting to take advantage of that naivete
as long as those with the power think the kids don't know any better, the more leverage the "kids" can apply
