i must apologize for previously being a Ramda contributor
yeah but they've infiltrated so far that they've contributed to ES 5 and 6
curious which parts are too haskell for your tastes. yeah FP has gotten better but i hardly feel like JS gives me inscrutable haskell vibes
my big issue isn't with FP, it's with terminology and representation, where right now we have two wildly different camps not realizing they're talking about 4/5ths overlap and for the sake of being able to hand the average rando my code I'd prefer to use things they don't have to go and learn first. Python is making this mistake with the walrus but at least that's rarely used. I'm sure it's just because I'm an old but we're making backward progress on the cross-language-knowledge collaboration front imo >_>
i'm still not sure i'm drawing the connection to modern JS you're making, but don't feel obligated to go into it if you don't feel like it
