(if you're red green colorblind I have good news and bad news. The good news is black is the color of original content, not green. The bad news is you probably thought there was more original content than there is)

Yeah I can tell if I concentrate - my colour-blindness actually exhibits more in not being able to tell red from black than from green, despite the name, which is hell when people are trying to be fancy with it

I have to wonder how many of the differences are NYT editing their own article after publication (which they do all the time, as tracked by the “Editing the Gray Lady” Twitter account).

In the first few examples, I saw one difference that looked clearly to me like the text generator went off-script briefly, and one other that was expressly labeled an NYT update (in square brackets and the first word was “Update:”). A lot of the other differences look like mundane copy-edits.
