in the United States, electric bicycles under 750 watts can go on many national park bike trails where motor vehicles are otherwise prohibited, because Ronald Reagan said something along the lines of "you must be crazy if you want me to ban something less powerful than a horse" in regards to motor-bikes, so 1hp is the cutoff

yeah probably but who's counting. 746W is the officially measured number for continuous horsework. who knows what horse that actually was, plus it's dead now and its whole breed has probably gone the way of the spit dog to boot. they should just use the number anyway. back in the day you used to swap out horses when they got tired too. cmon give us the good good
