Watching my second server in a month show warning signs of falling apart on that other social network. This fucking suuucks.

in fairness to them, the previous generation of leavers didn't do a very good job teaching why servers were dying, just that they kept doing it often enough to turn us away

part of me thinks "nobody knows how it actually works? but that is silly!" Then the rational part of me kicks in and says, "no, you're correct nobody does know how it works". I guess that "why" question is a harder one and somewhere we just started throwing more server at the "why" shrug I'm a stranger to the behind scenes.
