i’ve often thought about how much i’d love a “car talk but it’s computer toucher problems” but the class of problems that can possibly exist is so bewilderingly large as to be impossible
oxide and friends had this going for awhile when it was mostly war stories from Sun at the start
that’s like half the schedule still, the other half is “bryan and adam holler about a tweet” now though
which like. their show, they can do what they want. not my cup of tea lol
it's slowly diverging into a podcast with less of the good tangents because they keep picking too-interesting-to-them topics <_<
in fairness one of the hosts was 75 and dealing with alzheimers and died of it 2 years later so i think they'd earned retirement, but yea that doesn't mean that the show had to end or couldn't have found new hosts; i imagine most of the problems now would be the kind where the solution would be "yea idk man get an OBD scanner and figure out what the fault codes mean"
right, coincidence, just a strong one. I dont think most people knew it ended when it did thanks to syndication, too, which is its own fascinating phenomenon
