ok if anyone here has experience with 11ty, can you explain to me why it makes separate folders for all of my html pages with their own index.html inside, and how to make it stop doing this?

because when I open my site in a browser outside of the localhost 11ty spins up, everything outside the home page is broken.

what am I missing?

edit: I am a simple n00b, everything is fine.

in reply to @theworksofegan's post:

idk how to best word this, but having a folder with an index.html inside of it (e.g. /webpage/index.html) lets you visit that page by just adding that folder name to the url (e.g. example.com/webpage); otherwise you'd need to add the .html at the end (example.com/webpage.html). plus it lets you nest multiple directories with each being visitable

i've used it but unfortunately i don't know enough about 11ty to know how to turn it off
