y'ever think about how non-algorithmic timelines (well, the algorithm is newest first, not anything fancy) represent the unceasing march of progress and decay, and algorithmic timelines could, in their own way, be described as more person-scale, more humane. Sure that dog was posted 8 days ago, sure I've seen that same picture 80 times in 4 days, but it makes me say "dog..." today.
