it creates ice, and frees up a Grease slot. it halves incoming fire damage. the only elixir I need anymore is for lightning resist. I need basically no CC anymore. why is this level 1 lmao

the D&D 5e equivalent is your cleric throwing the ice out of his cup every time he chugs holy water

there is a whole ass post to be written about how BG3 makes specific choices in how it adapts the 5e ruleset and how some of them are Extremely Smart Choices and some other ones are Completely Ridiculous (often due to re-using the engine from D:OS)

create water makes way more sense as a level 1 spell when you have a human DM saying "what the fuck, no, being wet does not double electric or frost damage, obviously"

this is getting into like, "I don't want to run D&D anymore because it is quite prescriptive and rigid and same-y and I feel like I can't escape The Rules" territory that I'm reaching after running multiple 5e campaigns
