What if as a compromise, I could embed/pin comments to the post, in the post, to highlight them in discussion?
they're already on the page, I'm now just pointing people to it and making it more visible.
I have my post about "what random posts do you think people should read", as an example, and a lot of it just isn't seen because it lives in the comments -- I wish i could showcase them.
"they should just share instead of commenting if they want that, then you can reshare" also doesn't work; because you can't follow a chain of conversation to a share, only from a share.
