at some point we really need to talk about how a big chunk of the current economy is far past investor capitalism, since computers allow the big funds and traders to do massive, instant arbitrage instead of holding onto their stocks for dividends
which makes every single company optimize for share price, because The Big Funds Will Just Fucking Leave suddenly if you aren't, causing your company to crash
