Absolutely fucking batshit goddamn algorithm of all time. The fact that this doesn't just work, but is actually fast means that math hates you, personally, and the universe itself is an eldritch abomination.
Yeah see what if this number, instead of a number we thought of it as a polynomial that evaluates to that number when x is your base. And then multiplying numbers becomes multiplying polynomials! And instead of doing that the regular way we'll use a Fourier Transform! And that's a shortcut.
Unforgiveable.
