her old one (a surfacebook) has died enough that we're all willing to get spendy on things.
I'm looking for:
- must run windows, she's got some cognitive issues w/r/t working-memory that would make relearning an OS too hard for her right now
- good thermals for use on lap, for basic tasks and video streaming (Watching)
- a processor that's largely future proof for video streaming (watching) and also basic python devel (she might, it's unclear if this is a hobby she wants to keep going down)
- relatively sturdy
- touch screen (Glass), ideally 2-in-1/'yoga' (fold it over and make it a tablet)
- no smaller than 13" diagonal
- USB-C charging (other charging alongside that is ok), and ideally 1 USB A port (not a dealbreaker).
I'm thinking a non-2022 xps 13 but if anyone else has suggestions I'd love to hear them.
