the world really does need half life 3 now that all the functional programming people keep putting lambdas in their usernames. it would be complete chaos as the gamers and the devs think they're each other's fandom-comrade
finding a spraypainted lambda on a random wall a few months after The Event happened, getting my hopes up, only to find a cache filled with a copy of Learn You a Haskell instead of a medkit and 4 revolver bullets
he probably knows an intro to cs class worth of it but they use R and python in physics so he probably also has a lot of superstition and reverence around what a monad is. writes slightly wrong answers on stackexchange but they get accepted on reputation alone because he's one of those guys. his podcast wasn't doing very well because he didn't post anywhere, but he's dipping his toes in that whole video thing now
i'm thinking he might know html as it was written in 1998, without any css, just bare hypertext
well yeah he was a physicist they're not allowed to have a personally managed website in anything else. the 2005 looking ones are the ones the schools make for them
