it's bizarre how influential a work it was - even when i was rationalist-adjacent it was so clear that it came from a place of deep naivete. much of it has faded from my memory at this point, but i still vividly recall reading a scene where harry explains to... draco maybe? that sexual assault is wrong and realizing "oh this guy has no idea what he's talking about"
