oh yeah i bought lifetime wanikani but if you buy it during a sale it's like 3x the yearly cost. i just did the math and figured i would use it for over 3 years (they also restitute you whatever you had remaining on your current subscription)
for a platform like nebula idk that i even expect it to exist for 10 more years tbh
yeah that's why i hate that they spin this like that instead of it just being supporting them
my genuine first thought too was "they cannot guarantee me that they'll still exist 10 years from now"
Uhh, the lifetime sub doesnt exist anymore, they recently changed it to 'buy 3 years and then get a reduced yearly rate':
By purchasing a Lifetime subscription, you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Statement and that you are over 18, you will pay the setup fee to cover the first three years of your membership, and Nebula Genomics will automatically continue your membership after those three years and charge the annual membership fee ($19.99/year) to your payment method until you cancel. Your annual membership fee will not change for as long as you keep this membership. You may cancel at any time to avoid future charges.
So it's either 295$ for 3 years + 20$/year or the regular monthly which is now 12.50 per month.
