Y'know, he does depict what's basically a disney theme park version of a government, so that tracks.
unfortunately it's a pretty accurate depiction of US politics in all but motivation and compromise, I hear at least the House of Representatives right now is basically a cheesey TV drama. everybody is friends! even if the other side wants to murder entire classes of people
