Anonymous User asked: I ask this without a hint of irony or jokes but... "why are you like this" what is the "this" that I'm like? I don't understand why this conversation has gone the way it has. From my perspective:
- I spend like 5 seconds thinking of a benign joke based on a post you made. I send it to you, expecting you to either find it funny or ignore it
- You write 4 paragraphs waxing poetic about how horrible I am because you read my joke as inappropriate venting(?) so I'm feeling (hopefully understandably) confused and defensive
- I do my best to explain myself, maybe being a little more defensive then strictly necessary but hopefully it's obvious why I might be defensive that you would interpret what I thought was a benign joke that way? I still try to be friendly at the end but maybe that comes across as sarcasm?
- "why are you like this"
I'm literally just trying to understand and be understood?
please take the hint. it is not my job to explain things to people I don't know asking I spend free time in the middle of the day on a Monday.
complaining about my (reasonable, justified) annoyance isn't winning you many favors, especially complaining about the length of the explanation. (edit: each of the 'graphs was a sentence each?)
