i Need to be more vocal about incontinence on this webbed site. Incontinence is such a maligned thing to experience. you're not supposed to talk about it. It is a thing for babies, for the elderly. It is a kink thing. It is gross. It is not for the public.

to treat is as mundane, everyday, something my Disabled Body Does and is not a moral failing, is not normal. people who are disabled and end up pissing and shitting themselves because of it, we are not supposed to talk about this part of us. diaper, catheter, stoma? gross, get out of our sight, never leave the house, freak. do not exist, you wear unmentionable bodily processes on the outside.

Honestly you absolutely should discuss it more. So many disabled people like us just have to constantly with with embarrassment because of the society we are forced to inhabit. So what if I wear pads and diapers? What if I need 5 meds just to have a normal gastro system? Its my body if you don't like hearing about it then look away? Lol?

oh fr. I am practicing talking about it more, unlearning the shame. there are so many of us who experience these things but so many of us hide it, so we each feel alone, see nobody like us. it makes us harder to find solidarity, and to assert our needs, even to just discuss our lives in the same depth other people do
