installers will tell you they're the best (They are)

but I have never, never, NEVER in five years had a time when the technician comes for yearly maintenance and does not break the unit.

Usually it goes like this: they run into a problem, spend 2 billable hours on tech support with Mitsubishi Electric technician-grade technical phone support, and then seemingly fix it and leave.

And then have to be called back in for another technician visit I have to pay for to fix it. I don't think the technicians are incompitent, I think Mitsubishi-Electric is, or at least cutting costs on the glue between getting someone to sell it to you and you throwing the entire unit at them in an episode of adrenaline-induced rage-activated super-strength.

If they cannot have even a truly clueless tech for some contractor who's certified by them successfully maintain their system, something's wrong on their end.

So I can't in good conscience not post about this, the fifth year in a row this exact scenario has happened. The fact that you get billed twice every time for pretty expensive labor is shitty, and its not like you can't not pay the techs, and I feel for them. But like. What the fuck.

also ours has random corrosion everywhere that no technician has bothered to see as a problem, but like..................... this unit is designed for one half to be outdoor and one half to be indoor but constantly handling condensation. how do you fuck this up this bad.
