i feel like the recurring theme of the last like, idk twenty years of me being annoyed at computers all comes down to like. there just isn't good personal-connection-management software and there isn't good chat software and there isn't good social media software
and so much of it is because everyone reinvents terrible protocols but now proprietary
and not to say all of them are crap but clearly any of the good ones are too complicated for any of the bigcorps to be able to digest. why the fuck are we squandering all this effort on AI chatbots and before that ~*~web3~*~ when we have entire categories of necessary protocols.
categories of load bearing protocols that are just a commons that got all the labor devoured out of it so there's like, pre-2007 models and ones modified to make the computer line go up faster
