i don't think enough US people millennial and younger really like, understand just how bad Bill Clinton was for the US (and everyone we attacked under him) in so many reasons other than his sex crimes

which isn't to detract from the gravity of those, but instead that there's so much bad there.

but he helped set a bar in the public eye (and also implementation) for foreign policy and how campaigns are run and the crime bill and the proxy wars and the economic state of the world and.

Yeah, I feel like it was kind of a Faustian bargain, where it may well have taken "outflank Republicans from the right" effort to get Bush out of office (and the crime bill in particular had shockingly wide support), but it also probably doesn't differ significantly from a second Poppy Bush term.
