i wish I could stop being cool because I yet again have too many followers and get uncomfortable posting anything casually or sarcastically lest someone take it as serious advice that then gets passed on
mostly I wish I could trust randos but if that were ever true we would have solved one of the hardest problems in computers and cryptography by simply bringing all of humanity into some sort of alignment
mostly I just wish it was like the 2000s when you needed at least 10k people before something you said six years ago as a joke ends up in a wrong answer on a stackoverflow
I accidentally saw my cohost follower count and my heart dropped because it's approaching my previous max on Twitter before I aggressively started pruning.
The issue I have is that like, I'm just some rando who knows a lot of things but only with references in front of them, and people keep seeing me as some pedagogical source even when I'm not taking that tone
