I've been busy and quiet for the past week because I've been on a public speaking tour of Australia which has just wrapped up. I did 7 speaking engagements in the whistle stop tour - a 6 hour virtual workshop on OpenTelemetry, a keynote at DDD Brisbane, three talks at YOW Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney, and MCing two days of content at SREcon.
Here are the highlights from the YOW talk which I was able to iterate upon through three successive presentations and audience feedback in each city. There's, of course, a longer form written form of the talk in a LeadDev article too.
In the talk, I discuss observability-driven development and iteration, chaos engineering experiments, and what to do if/when you break your SLOs whether through experiments gone awry, or the remaining chaos that we are unable to tame.
