so anduril is marketing these as essentially full spectrum sonobouys, used to create perimeter sensor nets, but they can run facial rec and are likely able to track actively transmitting cellphones so i figure it's worth knowing what these are when they inevitably show up over here

seriously read this article. what the fuck. why would anyone allow their vehicle to collect so much invasive shit about them and sell it. if a piece of software did this people would be rabidly angry about it but so few people talk about the PII that cars harvest

usually the in car assistant and infotainment devices come with a cellular modem.

I think companies should be required to include data sales as a line item in investor reports at the VERY LEAST, but alas.
