it's funny how doing the work right makes it impossible to talk while you're still doing it, even if it's just boring political work.
but it also means the loudest, most constant voices get to build the larger online followings and usually point them somewhere ineffectively unless they went in with a plan.
so many people have called me flippant and uncaring by just posting extremely normal stuff during past crises instead of "taking them seriously" and like.
and then once you're done, you can't put anything on a resume, and everyone says it wasn't a big deal, because you and everyone else prevented the bad thing, like y2k. So all you really get from it is a world that hasn't fallen as much as it could have, and burnout.
