but seriously its pretty freeing to be able to post shit and not have 12 people who don't follow me making a worse joke and or telling me i should die for every third post I make. Twitter over 1k followers is hell because the chance a 10k+ follower follower will retweet you is so fucking high, and people are so bad at boundaries, reading rooms, and understanding everyone has an audience they're speaking to and its not some rando from 6 hops out



not showing follow numbers is cool but I'm really missing finding new likeminded people by crawling people's following feeds

maybe a compromise of having either a spotlight section or the option to hide yourself from others public follows? and i guess a way to hide your own follows for some people from public for preventing certain types of metadata leaks (outing onesself, etc)
