the War Against Slack currently being waged across all sectors of society. People don't have time to think, people don't have time to do their jobs in any way that acknowledges humans are in the loop.

paid by the hour so you better get as much out of that hour for the money, paid by the month so better get as much out of that month, or you're what, fired? who knows when you'll get the next job. KPIs just mean once you complete them they can rachet them up.

the way to start fighting back is to do things that carve out slack, that claim and hold both physical and philosophical territory, ways to have more room to think, more buffer to absorb more and more harsh blows.

other forms of organizing are just longer ways of saying this, but the end goal is the same: build and hold down space to think, build and hold down space to build, build and hold down space to act.
