you know what gave me an intuition for large swaths of math that educators didn't, because they relied on rote memorization and textbooks that explained stuff in such fine detail they were completely worthless?
cheating.
Because drilling equations to learn the process doesn't actually do much when the entire point is recognize when a thing is useful and apply it there.
But having to learn how to put things together so i'd never need to do the calculations again taught me the function.
