cohost should have an inexplicably staggered two column view, where it's chronological but in what way it's chronological is unclear. That was one of the defining features of google plus, and it helped keep discourse down because you were too busy trying to figure out what happened recently

I feel like we went wrong somewhere educating people that things aren't zero sum games, because now we have MBAs and shareholders who think infinite growth is possible for all companies they invest in
the youtube and google etc algorithms being opaque and you having no recourse outside of reverse engineering when it changes, is both a labor power issue and a "consumer rights" issue
the YouTube algorithm changing to "we'll recommend you random shit you don't care about" seems like it's meant to destroy click-through-rate and driving people who don't care about the author's topics to their channel so less subs, so they can pay less for the same content
