I am learning to stop engaging in Discourse. It's a work in progress, but I am getting better. So it's just mac and cheese with some pasta shells then, right?
I know this is bait but I will gladly take it:
It was presented as "finger food" for a party or something. So it was cooked pasta shells (the giant ones), with no sauce. Filled with mac and cheese. Pasta filled with pasta. Just making the ratio of cheese sauce to pasta worse.
And you wouldn't even be able to eat it with your hands, because it would be really hot. Unless you waited for it to cool down, in which case... cold pasta and cold mac and cheese. And have you ever touched cooked pasta after it has cooled down? It's starchy and sticky and disgusting.
You would be better off a hundred percent of the time by giving out mac and cheese in paper bowls or if you want to go the finger food angle: making croquettes out of leftover mac and cheese and deep-frying them.
I will never be free of this. I will never let it go. I know that I am right and this is a terrible dish that at best serves no purpose and at worst is gross. I fought an entire subreddit about this and I will fight the entire internet if I need to
Wow, that's a... well I don't like to be mean about food but I basically had that reaction: https://img.ifunny.co/images/062216747571f6150f1245e3c1e52f143a8cd6f513fea3e819b5eb605f04bff4_1.jpg
I'm a bit ashamed for them to not see how stupid that food is. It's ok, I guess they are on their right to be wrong. But if you ever need to fight again for this, count me on your side!
